Our Mission

Our mission is to improve the quality of life of the animals in Sal, Cape Verde, Africa, especially cats and dogs.

To help provide food, care, homing and veterinary attention for approx. 60 dogs who reside at OSPA’s rehoming centre in Sal, Cape Verde;

To help provide food, care and veterinary attention for the free roaming dogs/cats and abandoned puppies/kittens on the beaches and in the hotels and streets of Sal, Cape Verde;

To provide support, care, education and tools i.e., flea & worming treatments, collars, leads etc., for the locals and to offer financial support for veterinary visits to those who would otherwise not have the means to do so;

To support OSPA staff and volunteers in relation to call outs, rescue attempts and rounding up and neutering of entire dogs and cats to help fight against over population.
